The U.S. Space Nuclear Policy Event brought the commercial space and nuclear communities together to address the open questions facing nuclear power in space: who provides safety reviews and at what cost, whether the government will indemnify nuclear spacecraft and payloads, whether insurers will cover nuclear missions, and what all of it means for hybrid government and commercial missions.
