About the bootcamp
The Space Regulatory Bootcamp is a three-day introduction to the regulatory regimes that govern commercial space activity — how each one works, who administers it, and what it requires.
Regulatory guidance is written one regime at a time. Programs run several of them in parallel, on different timelines, answering to different agencies. The bootcamp covers them the same way: together, with attention to where they overlap and where one affects another.
What it covers
Launch & Reentry
FAA licensing under Part 450: financial responsibility, payload and environmental review, and mishap response.
Export Controls
ITAR and EAR: jurisdiction and classification, deemed exports, and hiring foreign nationals.
Government Contracting
The FAR framework, Other Transaction authority, SBIR, and the cybersecurity obligations that come with a federal contract.
FCC Licensing
Spectrum for commercial satellite communications: Part 25 licensing, ITU coordination, and the FCC’s orbital-debris rules.
Remote Sensing
NOAA licensing under Part 960: the three-tier system, what each tier requires, and foreign-customer rules.

Credential
Modeled on what the CSRP exam tests
The Commercial Space Regulatory Professional credential covers the same ground as the bootcamp, and registration includes the exam.
60 questions · 70% to pass · valid three years
The CSRP is taken online, on your own schedule. It is a foundational credential: it certifies a working introductory understanding of the U.S. regulatory framework. It is not a practice authorization.

Space Nuclear Launch Seminar
A one-day seminar at the intersection of the space and nuclear sectors, co-hosted with NEI, the day after the bootcamp ends. Bootcamp registrants can add it during registration.
